Coal Double Roll Crusher VS Coal Single Roll Crusher

Coal Double Roll Crusher VS Coal Single Roll Crusher

Coal roll crusher can be divided different types based on roll. The coal double roll crusher is mainly used for secondary and tertiary crushing of coal materials. The coal single roll crusher is used for primary crushers. Here explain the difference:

Structure And Wear Parts
Coal Double Roll Crusher Coal Single Roll Crusher
Base Frame steel construction steel construction
Hopper resistant steel wear liners renewable A.R. steel liners
Bearing Heavy-duty, self-aligning, anti-friction spherical roller bearings support the roll shafts Self aligning anti-friction roller bearings mounted in heavy duty steel housings are bolted to the frame to support the roll shaft and countershaft
Roll Design Roll shells are available in a variety of alloys for processing the feed material. Many types of rolls in various alloys of steel or chilled iron can be furnished with an extremely broad range of roll teeth configuration available
Feed Material
  • Coal double roll crusher: raw materials, secondary raw materials and by-products such as clean coal, coal with rock;
  • Coal Single roll crusher is used for grain size reduction for products ranging from soft to medium-hard;
Mode Of Operation
  • The double roll crushers are individually driven in counter rotation by ample drive arrangements. The coal with rock is fed into the machine by conveyors or similar systems while it is spread over the whole width of the roll. This is necessary to achieve an optimum use of the crushing tools, a minimum of wear and a uniform final grain size distribution. Parameters like roll diameter, tooth form or circumferential speed are carefully adjusted to the characteristics of the feed coal in relation to the required product specifications.
  • The single roll crusher reduces the coal in a wedge-shaped crushing area by means of pressure and shearing stress. The crushing body is formed by a rotating roll and an adjustable and spring-mounted crushing plate located on the opposite side. The distance between the base of the crushing plate and the tips of the roll crushers teeth forms the adjustable gap width, which can be varied depending on the required final grain size. Any wear and tear which may occur can be adjusted via the crushing plate. Depending on the coal with rock and the required coal ash fly, the roll crusher is equipped with either teeth or ledges. The crushing plate is equipped with a replaceable comb plate.
